About ValueLogics — Standards

We start with value.
Then we build the system.

ValueLogics is a value-model-driven software engineering platform. We begin with a formal declaration of what business value a system must create — then generate the application, its measurement layer, and its proof infrastructure from that single governed contract.

Our platform is designed around OMG MOF-style metamodeling principles for interoperability. The specification that governs how value contracts are expressed, measured, and proven — VDSC — is submitted to OMG for formal adoption.

How it works

One contract. Everything flows from it.

First
Define the value
A domain expert declares what the system must prove — the business problem, the baseline, the target, and how success will be measured. No code. No technical knowledge required.
Then
Generate everything
The platform compiles the value contract into the database, API, user interface, AI agent configuration, measurement system, and proof infrastructure — simultaneously, in one pass.
Always
Prove it paid off
Actual outcomes are recorded from day one against the declared contract. Variance is tracked continuously. When the system drifts from its value commitment, the platform flags it and recommends a course of action.
6.3×
Logic Density Ratio

The same business logic that required 14,000 lines of hand-coded application now compiles from a governed value contract — with 100% logic parity and 84% less code.

90% less work to modernize
84% less cost to run
84% less energy per outcome

The VDSC Standard

We created the open standard for value measurement contracts.

The Value-Driven Semantic Contract Specification (VDSC) is a platform-independent standard for measuring, proving, and governing business value outcomes. It extends the OMG Business Motivation Model — the international standard for business planning — with the measurement constructs that standard has always lacked.

What the existing standard covers

Why the business acts
What goals it is pursuing
What policies govern it
What influences its decisions

What VDSC adds

Whether the action created value
What was actually measured
How outcomes compare to the plan
Whether the proof is auditable

“The existing standard explains why the business acts. VDSC proves whether the action created value.”

Conformance Levels

Five levels. All demonstrated.

VDSC defines five conformance levels — from basic structural validity through to live proof with environmental efficiency. Click any level to see what it means.

OMG Submission

Submitting VDSC for international standardization.

The Object Management Group (OMG) is the international body responsible for standards like UML, BPMN, and the Business Motivation Model. We have submitted VDSC for formal adoption as a BMM-aligned profile. Our goal is to make value measurement contracts interchangeable across enterprise tools, agents, and platforms — so that value proof travels with the business when systems change.

Submission in progress — not yet adopted. VDSC is designed for OMG alignment and formal adoption submission is underway. We will declare OMG-adopted status upon formal vote. Until then: OMG submission in progress, ValueLogics as reference implementation.

Interoperability

Built to work with the tools you already use.

VDSC is designed around OMG MOF principles — the technical foundation that UML, BPMN, and SysML are all built on. This means value contracts authored in ValueLogics are intended to be read, validated, and executed by conformant tools.

Our future direction is full OMG interoperability: any conformant modeling tool, agent framework, or measurement system should be able to consume a ValueLogics value contract without rebuilding the business logic from scratch.

M3
The foundation
OMG's technical bedrock — MOF 2.5.1. All standards are built on this.
M2
VDSC v1.0
Our standard sits here — at the same level as UML, BPMN, and SysML.
M1
Your contracts
The actual value commitments your organization authors and governs.
M0
Runtime
Applications, agents, and dashboards executing against the contract.

Self-certification. ValueLogics.ai certifies that our platform satisfies all five VDSC conformance levels — L1 through L5 — as demonstrated by the open-source conformance test suite at github.com/valuelogics-ai/vdsc. Third-party conformance testing is available on request to OMG member organizations.

Environmental Proof

Same contract. Economic and environmental proof.

Most environmental reporting measures raw energy or carbon totals. That makes it impossible to compare systems fairly — a platform handling ten times more transactions will always look worse on raw numbers, even if it is far more efficient per transaction.

VDSC uses the same business outcome unit that governs your ROI proof to normalize your environmental measurements. One contract. One denominator. One proof package that covers both.

Environmental Efficiency Index

EEI = energy used per outcome (before) ÷ energy used per outcome (after)

A result above 1.0 means the new system is more efficient per unit of value produced — not just in total. This is the number that matters to a CFO under environmental reporting mandates.

Open Standard

The standard is open. The platform is ours.

VDSC is published under an open license. Anyone can read the specification, run the sample code, or build a conformant tool. The ValueLogics platform — the only production implementation with 25 years of methodology inside it — is a commercial product.
